Vince Russo Parts Ways with JCW

Addressing his status following weeks of messages from fans, Russo shared via RussoBrand.com that he and Violent J recently had a phone conversation and amicably agreed to part ways. While the run was originally slated to last only a few weeks or months, Russo spent an entire year working with the company. In his statement, the 65-year-old wrestling veteran reflected on his time with JCW, noting that while he had been feeling unhappy and recognized it was time for a change, he remains deeply appreciative of his time there. He offered high praise for Violent J, calling him "one of the kindest, gentlest, most creative souls I have ever met," and thanked the JCW locker room and crew for their respect and hard work throughout his run. Check out the official statement from Vince Russo below:

To my BELOVED Supporters, Over the past few weeks I have received many e-mails, dms and text messages concerning my status with JCW Lunacy. For those of you who know me, you know I don't hide from the truth, I don't avoid the truth and I certainly don't lie about the truth. The reason for my silence was that...I just didn't know. I just needed some time. I'd been unhappy for a while in JCW and I'm not going to deny that. Something had to change. Without getting into specifics, there were a lot of reasons with the biggest one being that at 65. I'm not the same guy I was 30 years ago. Things have changed, life has changed and more importantly...I've changed. A short while ago I had a phone conversation with Violent J and we have amicably agreed to part ways. Hey man, it was supposed to be for a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, but we KILLED IT for an entire year. So now, it's time to move on. What the future holds...we shall see. I'd like to thank Violent J; one of the kindest, gentlest, most creative souls I have ever met in my life, the JCW locker room, who treated me with the utmost respect, and the entire crew who worked their ARSES off every day. Yeah, it was a wild ride...but, now...maybe I can finally take that nap. God Bless, -Vince
