ROMA JONSON Unleashes Solo Madness with Скуфкор

The Russian Mad Scientist himself, ROMA JONSON, is back in the lab and pushing pure, unfiltered audio chaos with his brand-new full-length album, Скуфкор. While JONSON is well-known in the underground for his heavy collaborative tracks and features, this new 10-track project is extremely noteworthy because he is stepping completely into the driver’s seat, delivering a raw, solo onslaught from start to finish. For those not up on their Russian internet slang, the title Скуфкор translates to "Skufcore." It is a heavy, dark spin on the Russian "Skuf" meme—a term used for the stereotypical, unkempt, beer-guzzling older dude who spends his life playing video games. JONSON has taken that aesthetic, flipped it on its head, and created a 23-minute soundtrack of aggressive, high-energy madness. Check out the full tracklist below, and stream Скуфкор!
