Rapzilla covers a new Marz single: "Doorman"; mentions ICP, Tech N9ne, more

Occasionally we'll get an update on former Dark Lotus member MARZ and since he had an impact on our scene, we'll pass the info on to you.  Last week, the website Rapzilla.com (which seems to focus on Christian rap) posted a new single by Marz called "Doorman." They give a bit of a backstory about the song and Marz himself, noting that he has toured with ICP, Tech N9ne, Korn, and Paul Wall.  For nearly a decade now, Marz has been rapping about things that are the polar opposite of a Dark Lotus record.  You can check out the article and listen to what he's been up to below. From Rapzilla.com:

Music: Marz - Doorman ft. Roze Red

Ex-secular Chicago-based rapper who has toured with Tech N9ne, Korn, Paul Wall and Insane Clown Posse, Marz released this single "Doorman," featuring Roze Red, for International Day of Prayer for the persecuted church. "The daily news of our brothers and sisters in Christ losing their lives for their faith has grieved me and pushed me to ask the question, 'What are we doing as the church to help ease the burden for our fellow believers?'" Marz said. "It's easy to feel helpless when you're halfway across the world. 'Doorman' is a small way of trying to help." Marz plans to release a new project entitled Rebel Music soon. He dropped his debut album as a Christian Revelation in 2012. Buy on iTunes. All of the proceeds for the song will be donated to The Voice of the Martyrs, an organization which aids persecuted Christians worldwide.
