Cople, 36, the son of the Detroit tire shop's owner was shot and killed Sunday afternoon during an apparent robbery. A friend at a nearby auto shop says Cople often worked Sundays to make extra money. "He's a big guy with a big heart," said Rawad Haidar. "You'll never meet anyone like him, and these guys who did this took his life for pocket change. It's the saddest thing in the world." A second victim, a 53-year old-man, was shot and injured but is expected to recover. Family members say Cole only had about $40 on him when he was killed. Police are looking at surveillance video from nearby businesses as they search for at least two suspects. They're also hoping to learn key information from the second victim who survived. Police have said that victim is giving conflicting information and are still investigating. There have been no arrests made. Cole worked at the tire shop for 20 years. His friend says there's been no trouble until now. Cole just celebrated his birthday this month. Anyone with information about this senseless crime should call Crime Stoppersat 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
