Lo Key (Mission: Infect), Necro (Psycho+Logical-Records) & DMX Featured in Loudwire's "Album Covers That Look Metal, but Aren't"

Metal Hammer's sister website Loudwire recently released an article that featured a variety of recording artists that have album covers that look heavy metal, but aren't. The article written by Jon Wiederhorn featured underground greats such as Lo Key and (Mission: Infect) Necro (Psycho+Logical-Records). And even hip-hop legend DMX (RIP) is featured. Pretty cool! Though, the author didn't do his research in regards to Necro not having live drums or live guitars. Because live instrumentation is featured within past Necro albums, especially in the title track for 'The Prefix of Death'. As the track featured live drumming by musician Michel Langevin. 'The Prefix of Death' song "Empowered" even features live riffs by Dan Lilker of Nuclear Assault and Trevor Peres of Obituary. Not to mention, Necro's track "Suffocated to Death by God's Shadow" (2007's 'Death Rap') featured a live guitar solo by Lamb of God's Mark Morton.
With that being said, here is a snippet from the Loudwire article:
"There’s blood aplenty and a clawed zombie creature arising from the murk. At a distance, the logo could even be mistaken for that of Hirax. But Lo Key is another one of those horrorcore rappers who revels in misogynistic, violent and blood-soaked lyrics. No metal to be found here."
Lo Key, 'Let's Get Violent'
"There’s blood aplenty and a clawed zombie creature arising from the murk. At a distance, the logo could even be mistaken for that of Hirax. But Lo Key is another one of those horrorcore rappers who revels in misogynistic, violent and blood-soaked lyrics. No metal to be found here."
Necro, 'The Pre-Fix for Death'
"This album art looks a bit like Megadeth's 'Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying.' The green fluid in the syringe that the zombie dude is holding brings up memories of the film 'Reanimator.' And the content of the album definitely covers murder, drugs, the occult and graphic sex, but Necro belongs to a hip-hop subgenre called horrorcore. The dude’s not a bad rapper and his songs are filled with samples you might hear on a death metal record, but there’s nary a guitar riff nor a live drum to be heard here."
DMX, 'Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood'
For DMX’s second studio album 'Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood,' the rapper decided to remove his shirt and cover himself head to toe in blood and stand with his cupped hands reaching outward and dripping. Aside from the crimson pool in which he stands, the background is crisp and white and the rappers name is rendered in jagged letters that make it look pretty metal. Making the album a bit more metal: Marilyn Manson guests on "The Omen (Damien II.)"
