Two nights ago at Peabody's in Cleveland, Ohio a long missed and sought after combination of the Kottonmouth Kings and Psychopathic Records', Blaze ya Dead Homie came correct with the flavor the crowd so desperately deserved. Along with road traveling homie, Big B who was promoting his latest release 'Good Times & Bad Advice', as well as Australia and Illusive Sounds' own Bliss and Eso. First up to take control of the crowd and prove their number one spot on the Australian music charts was Bliss and Eso. Equipped with their live DJ, DJ Izm, they kept the crowd rocking, ranting, and raving all throughout their 20 or 25minutes on the mainstage the club provides. Explaining and expanding on their ideology of everyone being equal and being 'addicted to this thing called life' the group left the stage and the crowd with the burning question "Where can I find more?" Luckily, all they had to do was go to the merch booth to quench that thirst. Next up was Las Vegas' high class, white trash hooligan, Big B. HItting the road on this tour to promote his latest release the big guy took to the microphone stand with DJ Izm at his back running the 1's and 2's. Going through his repitoir of raps Big B did what he does best and that was take his shirt off at somepoint and rap about living the over indulging lifestyle of being on the road and from Sin City. I, personally, am not the worlds biggest Big B fan, however I give the guy props for being able to do what he does on his own terms for so long, while still holding a dedicated fanbase. Third in line was the Dead Man himself, the casket care-taker, he who throws a penny into the wishing well because his life is a living hell, Blaze. Psychopathic Records was able to resurrect his rotting corpse over a decade ago after a little more thana decade of decay. Blaze over the last year has released his latest installment 'Gang Rags' and slowly incorporated a few new songs to the always classic list he calls his set. Alongside with his hypeman Blaze stormed the stage with the never old, 'Real G Shit', and rocked all the classics that gave him his mark in the underground, horrocore game all those years ago. Finally after Blaze came the main event, Californias creme of the crop, and what seems the longest touring group in the underground, The Kottonmouth Kings. After acquiring newest member, The Dirtball, and shedding some weight with Pakalieka the Kings hit the road to kick off this new year with something proper. They came out and did their thing with a set list that never seems to change much, if only by a few songs. What was great was this time around, while on tour as a Kottonmouth King, The Dirtball was able to inquire his own music as apart of the set and not seem to be inbetween an artist/back-up. They seemed to be able to keep it fresh while keeping it closely related to what people have grown to recognize as a live KMK set. Long Live the Kings Subnoize Rats King Click K.O.T.T.O.N.M.O.U.T.H Song Full Throttle Stomp Gone Get High Everybody Move No Escape Where's The Weed At Where I'm Going 420 Peace of Mind Waking Dream/Tangerine Sky mash up Rest of My Life Can Anybody Hear Me UR Done The show was a good one at that, like revisiting concerts past while experiencing something new altogether, something that one should catch if it's quickly approaching your city.
