Johnny Richter leaves Kottonmouth Kings

Well some of you may have heard the rumors by now, but they do appear to be true. Just moments ago on his Twitter, Johhny Richter announced he is leaving the Kottonmouth Kings. Now there isn't much detail as to why, but he does give a somewhat lengthy resignation through a series of tweets. Basically he's made the decision to make changes in his life, and will be continuing on as a solo artist. He has new material and new shows on the way, and he thanks all the fans for their continued support. He doesn't make any reference to any of other members of KMK, other than stating that he was sick of all the drama. I retyped the tweets in order for you so it would be easier to read:

Those at the show tonight are gonna notice that I'm not there. A couple weeks ago I made the decision to make a huge change in my life and leave KMK. I'm not gonna get into all the details as I choose not to perpetuate any more negativity- And if you're anything like me you're already sick of all the drama, I will say that I am happier with life and feel my soul is unclogged... I've been working on new material and am booking shows for December in support of my new project. I've always had and continue to have mad love and respect for the fans that have supported me and KMK all these years. I can't wait to share and play my new music with all of you now and for many years to come and am truly excited to start a new chapter i.. Can't wait to see all my friends I've made thoughout the years on the road and hope you'll continue to support your boy. Once again THANK YOU for all the years past and here's to many more in the future. Your Boy, RICHTER
