After being questioned about it multiple times since leaving KMK, Johnny Richter released a statement on Facebook about his KMK chest tattoo. In the statement that was released early, which you can read below, Richter states he has no plans on covering up that tattoo. In another part of the statement he thanks the fans for supporting him and KMK for so many years. Johnny Richter's Statement:
I keep hearing that people wanna know if I'm gonna cover my chest piece up? As of today I have no plans to cover anything up. Those 19 years were a huge part of mine and many other people's lives filled with some of the best times of mine and many others lives too. Just because I'm not with them anymore doesn't change the fact that there's almost 20 records out there that I'm on and a huge part of. Tattoo's are a reflection and reminder of special time's in your life and that will never change no matter what "some" people think. I'm always gonna be Richter from the Kottonmouth Kings to most people, that's just a fact. I'm proud of my time spent with that group and the people I got to affect through the music, as well as the people/friends I got to meet and make that affected me. Just because I'm starting a new chapter in my life doesn't mean I'm gonna denounce or try to forget the one that just ended. I hope that answers some people's question and I hope to see all ya'll while I'm out on the road this summer and many more to come.. Thank you to everyone that's supported me and the Kings for so many years and a continued thanks to those that continue to support. Nothing but love over here. -RICHTER-
