[UPDATED] Horrorcore Rapper MARS Stabbed and in Critical Condition

Update (1/22/18 @ 8:45 PM CST): While we don't have any further info on Mars' current condition, I did want to take a moment to clarify something about the incident itself.  Originally, we reposted Skribbal's Facebook update saying that it happened AT the 9Quota awards.  I have since corrected that.  The fact is that the incident happened several miles away from the awards show and didn't have anything to do with the promoters, 9Quota, or the ceremony's attendees.  Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused. Update (1/22/18 @ 5:56 PM CST): Fellow Force 5 Records artist Skribbal just posted a pic of Mars in a hospital bed saying that he's a soldier, and nothing's gonna stop him! Check the pic and the message:

My homie and label mate @mars is in the hospital, takin it like a SOLDIER!! throw your positive thoughts and vibes his way. He was stabbed after the 9quota award show Sat. night but ain't shit gonna stop this man's hustle and the grind of#Force5Records !!

Again, we'll keep you posted on any updates.  Everyone at FLH wishes Mars a speedy recovery! Original Post (1/22/18 @ 2:58 PM CST): Not long ago, the homies from Force 5 Records dropped me an email that really shook me.  The brief email was sent to me as follows:

After the 9Quota awards, Mars was involved in a fight with a group of people and was stabbed. He was rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery and remains in critical condition. He is in our prayers. He won best hip hop single for Creatures Of The Night featuring Twiztid and Tech N9ne at the awards.

Force 5 is based out of Wisconsin, so they are going by what Mars' girlfriend has been texting them. I reached out to a mutual home of mine and Mars', and he only echoed that it was true according to Mars girlfriend, and that he is expected to survive. Just minutes ago, I received a follow-up email from Force 5 saying:

You can report it and ask people to send their love or prayers. He’s in critical condition. We don’t know much info because he’s in California just what his girlfriend updates us with. Stab wound to the abdomen and he has tubes. They had to make an exploratory incision too. That’s all we know so far.
