From Kickstarter to Streaming: MC Lars Unleashes The Edgar Allan Poe LP Deluxe Edition

If it feels like MC Lars has been dominating the news cycle lately, you’re definitely not imagining things. Between the recent announcement of his massive 500-page memoir, The Nerdcore Years, and his brilliant Hit Parader feature, "Edgar Allan Poe Was A Juggalo," the veteran lit-hop champion has been firing on all cylinders. But the news wave doesn't stop at the bookshelf or the magazine stand—because the ultimate project is finally getting its long-awaited wide release. Last Halloween, MC Lars dropped The Edgar Allan Poe LP, a Kickstarter-fueled concept album that built directly on the cult-classic foundations of his 2012 Edgar Allan Poe EP. For the true believers who backed the campaign from day one, it materialized as an exclusive physical compact disc and direct download. However, there was a major catch for everyone else: it completely bypassed mainstream streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, living the life of a strictly underground physical artifact. That digital exile is officially coming to a close. On October 16, 2026, Oglio Records is unleashing The Edgar Allan Poe LP (Special One Year Anniversary Deluxe Expanded Edition), blowing the original 12-track release up into a sprawling 19-track monster. It’s loaded with brand-new 2026 cuts, rare archival tracks straight from the original 2012 EP, and an absolute powerhouse lineup of guest features including Mega Ran, Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup, The Dead Milkmen, and Schäffer the Darklord. Whether you've been spinning that original physical release since last October or you've been waiting for the raven to finally break into your digital playlist, this expanded anniversary edition is shaping up to be a definitive milestone. The physical-only lockdown is lifting, the archives are wide open, and MC Lars is bringing the carnival straight to streaming.
