Grand Rapids, Michigan independent label Dirtcore Music just announced the signing of Florida based rapid fire spitter emcee Sleep Lyrical! Here is the official Dirtcore Music press release announcing the great news of signing Sleep Lyrical with a quote from Dirtcore founder, Crossworm!
From Dirtcore Music:
DIRTCORE signs underground hip-hop juggernaut, SLEEP LYRICAL "Rapid Eye Movement" In the Underground hip-hop and wickedshit scenes, Sleep Lyrical is easily one of the most prolific artists known for his upper tier skill as a writer, emcee, and lyricist. The volume of work he has put out is staggering, as he continues to elevate and evolve. Originally from Wilmington, DE currently residing in the Tampa bay area of Florida, Sleep Lyrical is a story teller for the rugged. His ideas are blunt, and his delivery is blunt-force. Sleep Lyrical has just released his latest mixtape MBSK6 on all streaming platforms, mixed and Mastered by Crossworm, as well as a new single produced by Crossworm. Check it out everywhere music is available!
Sleep is currently working on his first album with Dirtcore music, and Crossworm at the helm.
I first discovered Sleep Lyrical a little over ten years ago and I've had the pleasure of mixing a few of his collaborations over the years. Sleep's prolific nature and work ethic is absolutely astounding, and he is known for churning out high caliber lyrical music, and super quickly.Originally from Wilmington DE and now based in the Tampa Bay area, Sleep has lived a rough and rugged lifestyle and this is what he is known for in most of his music. But on the flip, you can find a deep introspective and passionately soulful side.Truthfully, I've had my eye on Sleep for a long time, but a few weeks back, Madd Maxxx said to me "Hey did you block Sleep on facebook?" And I was like "no this is a new profile". Right then I got a request and a message from Sleep, and my reply was basically, Hey do you wanna do a record on Dirtcore??He told me he has his 6th installment of his mixtape series finished. (MBSK / My Brother Said Kill it). So I offered to also mix that for him. That drops on all streaming services tomorrow on August 3rd !!At Dirtcore, we are going to work towards developing his opus, "Broken Hearts on my Face, 2". And of course some fire drops along the way. As a matter of fact he has already dropped 2 EPs worth of new music in my lap. The man is a workaholic. This is a brand new era for Sleep, and we've already helped him find tune his studio and sound better than ever. This is level up time.Welcome to Dirtcore, Sleep !
YIZZAN!-Crossworm
P.S. Here is a wicked Sleep Lyrical throwback!
