Clowns are Illegal according to South Carolina Police Chief

Over the past week or so, some random clowns have been popping up in various places in South Carolina. Though it looks like most have meant no harm, it's definitely spooking SC residents.
The South Carolina Chief of Police has taken a stand though. Buried somewhere in the depths of obscurity is a law that makes it illegal to wear masks. Chief Ken Miller has vowed to use that law to arrest any of these clowns that are spotted and apprehended.
Chief Miller said the following according to TheState.com:
It’s illegal. It’s dangerous. It’s inappropriate, and it’s creating community concern so it needs to stop. There are a ton of references and info that can be seen in this article at CopBlock.org.
